So, first things first... Thanks so much to all of you that came down to our Caribbean Night, especially Delroy who truly made the evening special, entertaining us all as we danced the night away!
Bonfire Night will be the next 'event' at the pub, and this year we'll be hoping to make it our most successful yet. The weather wasn't too kind to us last year, but the fireworks and gigantic bonfire more than made up for it. We're crossing all of our fingers and toes, though, and hopefully Pete will refrain from sharing his singing voice with the rest of us, so that this year will be a dry one.
We'll be lighting the bonfire and releasing the fireworks into the heavens on
SATURDAY 7th NOVEMBER 2009, from around 7pm onwards. There will be an outdoor BBQ, and for the first time ever entrance will be FREE! However, we will be collecting for BBC Children In Need, and ask that donations are made to help support this wonderful cause. Please give generously!
We've moved the location of the bonfire from previous years, so that the 'top field' can be used for parking, to ease congestion on the surrounding roads. But we suggest getting here early, if no more to make sure you get a good space than to soak up the atmosphere of what is always an enjoyable evening.
On a final note, you may also have noticed that we've now put our Christmas Fayre and Christmas Day menus up here on the website...
